Opera 9.5 alpha – Kestrel

Opera 9.5 alpha

I’ve been surfing with the Opera browser for as long as I can remember. Mainly because of it’s rendering speed, because I rarely use the Rss-feed reader or any other options. Of course the mouse gestures are great, but FireFox has them as well nowadays. The only downside for me is that for some sites (Web banking, Google Calendar, …) I have to use FireFox or, even worse, IE.

Yesterday I installed the new alpha release Kestrel and I must say I’m very pleased with the results. I’ve never installed an alpha version before, but I have not yet experienced a bug and although it’s just a feeling, I feel that I’m browsing even faster now. On top of that I’ve just tried Google Calendar with my new Opera browser and to my suprise it seems to work !
