Bye Gokcan ilbay

November 27, 2007

On November 22, about a year ago, manager Gokcan ilbay started to translate on the remaining 739 language-items for the Turkish translation. A few months later, after a complete check of everything what the previous translators had written, SoccerProject became available in the Turkish language. A great achievement fow which I’m still very thankful…
But today [...]

November 25, 2007

I got a message from manager happyna17 with some news about the Czech newsletter. They have a new URL and although I don’t understand a word of it, I think it looks great. Hopefully their new design wil attract some new Czech and Slovak SoccerProject managers.
Speaking of the Czech republic… I have a very hard [...]

SP Lifestyle

November 17, 2007

Manager Cicco showed me his new project a few days ago: SP Lifestyle. It’s a Digg-Clone dedicated to SoccerProject. I think it’s a great idea in combination with his other initiative SP Communitiez and wish him good luck. Let’s hope this one wil catch on amongst SoccerProject managers …

November 13, 2007

I discovered a new service today, simply by surfing the web. FeedM8 allows you to enable your blog to mobile readers. I’m aware I don’t have hundreds of readers dying to be able to get this blog onto their mobile, but nevertheless I still wanted to try this.
Subscription was very simple, adding a button to [...]

Since about a week it’s possible to pay for SPFA-membership with Wallie. Wallie is an International online payment system which works with prepaid cards which can simply be purchased in the shop nextdoor.
At the moment they’re most spread in Belgium and the Netherlands, but they are planning on expanding to other countries as well. For [...]

Internet radio

November 10, 2007

Yesterday my father asked me how to record the livestream from the Belgian radio channel 4FM. They were about to stream the hundred best songs chosen by their listeners and he wanted to record this.
Since I don’t have any experience with streaming, I started looking for the available software and soon I found Screamer Radio. [...]

New German translator

November 8, 2007

Today Austrian manager fkk from team FK Kabelwerk offered me to help us with the German version of SoccerProject. I briefly discussed this offer with Sljivovica who has done a lot already for the German community and we agreed to take this opportunity with both hands. So now we have our first native German speaker [...]

Synching Google Calendar

November 7, 2007

I’ve been using Google Calendar for over a year now, for both my professional and personal calendars. Although I’ve seen quite a few different online calendars, this is certainly the one that suits me best.
Unfortunately until last week it was kinda hard to sync it with my Thunderbird E-mail client. Allthough I had both the [...]

New SP Newsletter

November 6, 2007

The SoccerProject Newsletter just announced a new edition. Allthough I like every article, I think the banner contest is worth mentioning an extra time. Cicco from the SoccerProject Communitiez which I mentioned in a previous post is looking for a banner and the manager that creates the best one gets free SPFA-membership.
Maybe you’d like to [...]
